The mansion of a King, Vimanmek Mansion was constructed on the behest of King Rama V after his return from Europe in 1897. It was however the creation of the mansion that was ordered but the creation of a beautiful garden.
It was only at a later date in this garden that the mansion was eventually created. It was here that the King remained for the next 5 years until another residence was completed for him to reside in.
Visitors to this royally inspired structure today will step in to the world's largest golden teakwood mansion. If this was not an impressive feat in itself, visitors will soon discover the lavishness that is housed within. The interiors are the epitome of luxury featuring plush furniture, stylish carpets and floors that truly are befit of a king.
Over the years this mansion was renovated for different reasons, but the end goal way always the same; absolute luxury and comfort.
