Study: Asian men must earn $250k to attract a white woman, on average |
Recently, the show 20/20 devoted a full hour to the book, Freakonomics. Some interesting facts: * Street-level crack dealers make less than minimum wage. It is those on top of the pyramid that drive fancy cars, wear jewerly, and have all the blings. * After a baby reaches 2 years old, using a DVD player in a car is as safe as using a child car seat. a 2-year-old using regular seat belt watching a DVD in the car keeps her from moving about. Here is the really interesting one: * White women usually go out with white men. A hispanic man needs to make $70k more than a white man for the same white woman to go out w/him. It is $125k for a black man, and $250k for an Asian. * Based on a study on e-harmony, cupid, and all those dating sites that secretly looked at how people actually respond to ads and messages, white women (blondes being the most highly prized) are the most in demand, then latina women, then closely followed by asian women, and the last is black women. On men: white men are the most desired, then latino men, then black men. And the dead last is, you guessed it: asian men. Interesting facts....
